Midshipman Sea Training Deployment (MSTD) Phase 2/2012 *Change in Port of Call*

Greetings all,

MSTD (Midshipmen Sea Training Deployment) Phase 2 for 2012 will be held from 25 August to 4 September 2012.
Application is open to Cadet Leaders, Cadet Officers & Teacher Officers. MSTD is a good eye-opener for our sea cadets and teacher officers alike to experience the workings onboard RSN Vessels, which includes a shoreleave (off shore rest & recreation time) after the deployment on ship before going back to Singapore.

Please check your email for the Application Form and Nominal Roll.

The port of call will be at India. Details as below :

- Depart Singapore : 25 Aug 2012 (Sail onboard)
- Arrive Kochi (India) : 1 Sept 2012
- Depart Kochi (India) : 4 Sept 2012 (By Flight)

- Arrive Singapore: 4 Sept 2012 (By Flight)


1) Swim Test. There will be a compulsory swim test conducted at IMOS Changi Naval Base. The date is to be confirmed and will be within the first two weeks in July.

2) Medical Screening. Upon completion of the swim test, applicants who passed are to proceed to clear a medical screening. Dates will be confirmed and made known.

3) Interview. Those who have successfully cleared the swim and medical tests will be interviewed by Commander Sea at NCC HQ at a scheduled date. A total of 13 cadets/cadet officers + 2 teacher officers will be selected for the trip.

4) Drawing of Navy Rig and Vaccinations. Selected cadets/teacher officers will draw their set of navy rig from Kallang Sea Training Centre and to have their injections vaccinations done at a clinic at appointed dates.

1) Interested cadet officers are to fill up the application form & NR completely. Incomplete forms will be duly rejected.
The application form in 1) has to be submitted (in hardcopy, no fax) by 28 June 2012 (Thursday) to either Commander Sea or Mr Lionel Lee (Sea CSO) at NCC HQ.

The nominal roll in 2) has to be sent (via email) to Sea Commander CPT Chia by 28 June 2012 (Thursday) at his email above. 

Cadets/teacher officers will not be allowed to take the swim test if their application forms and nominal roll details are not received by the said dates above.
