NCC Advisory On Blogging and Postings On the Internet

Hi all.

This is what was updated recently on the HQ NCC website. Would appreciate if each and every Sea Cadet / Cadet Lieutenant / Honorary Officer / Teacher Officer will adhere to this:

01. Media such as blogs, internet forums and video-sharing websites are becoming increasingly popular.

02. This advisory is to provide awareness of the guidelines for blogging and posting of information related to NCC.

03. Under the Sedition Act, you are not allowed to make racist remarks online.

04. Under the Penal Code, you are not allowed to exhibit or putting into circulation obscene photos or sensitive materials on videos, blogs or internet forums.

05. You are prohibited to disclose or communicate inappropriate comments through the media.

06. You are prohibited to circulate a publication or document, which is likely to lead to a breach of the peace or to promote feelings of hostility between races or classes of the population.

07. You are prohibited from posting videos on NCC activities that may bring disrepute to the National Cadet Corps.

08. You are prohibited from photographing unless authorized within SAF camps, NCC Campus and training areas.

CLTS and Cadets should pass and share this information around so that we can maintain a good and proper image of NCC

Sea Gathering 18th 19th 20th Dec

Hi all.

This year's Sea Gathering will be held at Changi Aloha Resort.

Dates: 18, 19, 20 December

Costings are reflected as below.

CLT: $20/PAX
Cadets: $17/PAX
Officers/HO's: $20 or Gathering Funding Contributions.

Guest of Honor: Unconfirmed

BBQ will be held on the 2nd night (19th December 2006)

CLTs, i hope you can support Glenn in the planning and co-ordination of the event. I hope there will be many CLTs around to mingle and forge closer friendship amoung one another.
