Overseas Youth Programme 2009 Recruitment Drive‏

Hi all,

The National Youth Council (NYC) initiates and facilitates regional and international youth exchanges to connect youth and youth organisations to the world, with the ultimate objective of developing Singaporean youths to become world-ready. Through such strategic link-ups, leaders and youths of participating youth organisations are given the opportunity to share best practices in areas of youth and youth sector development with their foreign counterparts.

NYC is conducting an annual mass recruitment drive for suitable youth leaders to participate in our overseas youth programmes happening in 2009. A description of the available overseas youth programmes in 2009 and the application form is attached for your information and use respectively.

Nominees should indicate their preferred choice of programmes in the nomination form. They are also required to submit an essay of no longer than 500 words on the topic "The role of youth in promoting sustainable development in the ASEAN region".

Sea Gathering 2008

Hi all,

Thanks for attending the annual Sea Gathering 2008. Hope everyone enjoyed themselves. The event coordination and planning gets better as the year pass and this is the successful 3rd gathering that has been organised, although there are still plenty of food left. Thanks LTA Chang for bringing them home. And Congrats to Ex Cadet Captain Jin Chuan, for entering OCS (Mids Wing), wishing you all the best for your MSTDs. Feedback are welcomed to better improve the event for the future. Kindly tag or inform us by mail.

For those whom have missed the event, fret not as this gathering will be an annual event which welcomes all whom were and are in the Sea Family.

Well wishes and we hope that next year will be better. Looking forward with working with the new graduants of the 56th Cadet Officer Course.

Countdown for SEA GATHERING!!

PADI Open Water Diver (Basic)

Hi all,

I am trying to organize this PADI Open Water Diver for the Cadet Officer/Cadet. This course consist of 2 or 3(can't remember~) theory classes And of cuz got theory test! Plus 2 pool dive @ Swimming pool. The dive site will be at tioman or dayang which is in m'sia. The class will only start after this season. High chances will be at march'08. Or if you all wan during feb can take the theory lesson. If you all interested, can contact me back. Will try to get a special price for you if you all are interested. This is a skill upgrading course. Not force :)

And those who got their Basic Open Water Diver, JK will organsize a Adv. water diver course.
